Earlier today, BMWBLOG went behind the wheel of the new 2012 BMW 650i Convertible. The Black Sapphire cabriolet was put through paces on a 500 km round trip route from Cabos to Baja, Mexico. Our first driving impressions and exclusive report will go live shortly, but in the mean time, we wanted to share with you some of our quick findings along with an extensive photo gallery.
Despite the increased weight, the new 650i Convertible remains a “sprinter”, a high-end cabriolet that combines luxury with the pleasure of driving, and when equipped with the 8-Speed ZF transmission, it delivers that “punch” we look in a BMW. When used in Normal setting, the ride becomes, as expected, softer and more appealing to the demographic we see fit for this car, but switching quickly to Sport + mode, marks the return of the “Ultimate Driving Machine”.
Stay tuned for our full report and enjoy the exclusive photo gallery.
