BMW South Africa launches this week the all-new BMW M235i. The two-door compact coupe is also making a U.S. debut this month at a base price of $43,100.
With the most powerful gasoline M Performance engine available producing 322 hp and 332 lf-ft of torque, the M235i is capable of 0-60 in 4.8 seconds when optioned with the 8-speed sport automatic. Top speed is 155mph and MPG is 22 city/32 hwy for the auto and 19/29 for the 6-speed manual.
The BMW M team has massaged the chassis with M Adaptive suspension added M Sport braking system as well as an M235i specific exhaust.
Compared to the 1 Series Coupe, the M235i and 2 Series Coupe models have significantly larger dimensions than its predecessor; length increased by 72 millimeters to 4,432 millimeters, width by 32 millimeters to 1,774 millimeters, wheelbase by 30 millimeters to 2,690 millimeters, front track width by 41 millimeters to 1,521 millimeters and rear track width by 43 millimeters to 1,556 millimeters; improved interior space, including 6 millimeters of extra headroom in the front and 21 millimeters of additional legroom in the rear compartment.
