The most powerful, fastest and expensive version of Jaguar’s F-Type – the SVR – is one of the hottest cars at the 2016 New York Auto Show. The F-Type SVR produces 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque courtesy of a 5.0 liter V8. That’s a gain of 25 hp and 15 lb-ft over the F-Type R, and the payoff is a 0 to 60 sprint time of 3.5 seconds — 0.4 second quicker than the R — and a top speed of 200 mph.
The engine is mated a ZF eight-speed automatic sending power to all four wheels.
But there is more to the SVR than just power upgrades. Jaguar also managed to shave up to 110 pounds off the curb weight of the F-Type R thanks to a carbon fiber roof panel and some smaller bits, a lighter Inconel Titanium exhaust system 35 pounds lighter and a carbon ceramic brake system that shaves an extra 46 pounds.
