The BMW M4 GTS is among the quickest and most die-hard models that BMW M ever produced for the street. Coming with a 3.0 Liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, the BMW M4 can rely on a whopping 493 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of peak torque. The power is harnessed through a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission, equipped with Drivelogic, allowing the M4 GTS to sprint from 0 to 62mph (0-100km/h) in as low as 3.6 seconds. In a nutshell, the BMW M4 GTS is a race-bred car that utilizes the best from BMW’s engineering and design departments.
The vehicle comes racetrack ready from the factory and features carbon fiber panels, lowering its weight and improving the aerodynamic characteristics. The coilover suspension allows the driver to attack those corners faster, all the while there is a water injection system, rollbar and other, race inspired additions, completing the track-oriented upgrades. Some will say, the vehicle is perfect from the start. To which we completely concur.
But, for some owners, adding a bit of a personal touch is what they require. Hence, the owner of this particular Frozen Gray BMW M4 decided to add a set of HRE FlowForm wheels. The installation was done at European Auto Source, experts in the field of aftermarket BMW tuning.
Unlike standard cast wheels, HRE FlowForm wheels are created using a unique casting and forming process that obtains strengths similar to a forged wheel. The process begins by pouring molten aluminum into a mold face-side-down, then followed by rapid cooling. In turn, the aluminum alloy is condensed and its elastic strength and durability are further enhanced. After the wheel is formed, it is pulled from the mold and placed into the flow forming tooling. This completes the wheel creation process, as it further stretches the barrel to a defined profile and thickness, ultimately giving the wheel its final shape. This “stretching” improves the grain structure of the aluminum making it stronger, lighter and more precise than a non-flow formed barrel resulting in forged aluminum-like strength.
For this build, the owner went with HRE FF15 multispoke flow formed wheels. The sizes are 20×9.5 and 20×10.5 in the front and rear, respectively. The wheels feature a Matte Black finish applied to them, perfectly matching the matte gray exterior of the vehicle. Check out the complete media gallery of this build right below.
