While it’s true that your wife would have “choice” words for you upon learning that you’ve quit your day job to pursue your lifelong dream in automotive journalism – you need not despair. For the better part of an afternoon you can live the journalist life by comparing five BMW xDrive cars back-to-back.
The ‘testing’ will take place on a closed course selected by BMW in the following cities: Vancouver (April 29th to May 1st), Montreal (May 27th to 29th) and Toronto (June 10th to 12th, 17th to 19th). Things get ‘twisted’ as you throw the test cars around corners set up to simulate on-ramps and off-ramps, twisty back roads and chaotic roads calling for emergency braking.
The course is designed to highlight BMW’s uniquely dynamic vehicle lineup and what that could mean to you your wife (or husband) during regular, everyday driving excursions. If you’re a regular BMWBLOG reader, we know you already appreciate BMW’s dynamics on another level; the level of sport. This event is targeted more towards those that question the validity of sport DNA in their personal car, but want to purchase a BMW nonetheless. After 2.5 hours on the autocross track, we may see a few converts who ‘see the light’ of performance driving. One thing is for sure: there will be smiles all around.
