Two other attractions at the MINI exhibit in Paris are the JCW Countryman and JCW Coupe.
The super sport crossover JCW Countryman made its debut earlier this year and is powered by a newly developed four-cylinder engine boasting a twin-scroll turbocharger, petrol direct injection and variable valve control, and producing 160 kW/218 hp.
MINI JCW Countryman comes as standard with an aerodynamic kit, lowered sports suspension, 18-inch light-alloy wheels and exclusive design features. This is the first John Cooper Works model to also offer a six-speed automatic gearbox as an option.
Acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) comes in 7.0 seconds with a top speed of 225 km/h / 140 mph (automatic: 223 km/h / 139 mph).
The MINI Coupe JCW sports the usual aggressive body kit by JCW, along with a beautiful red roof that contrasts with the black paint.
The super sporty coupe is powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with twin-scroll turbocharger and direct injection, plus numerous technological details carried over directly from motor sport. The engine outputs 155 kW/211 hp at 6,000 rpm, has maximum torque of 260 Nm/192 lb-ft at 1,850 – 5,600 rpm (280 Nm/207 lb-ft with Overboost at 1,700 – 4,500 rpm).
Acceleration from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) comes in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).
