The driving instructors at BMW Performance Driving School in Spartanburg are having some fun with the F10 BMW M5 on the wet skid pad. In the past, the large M vehicles like the M5 were kept on the large wet skid pad but the skillful M instructors decided to show us what the “beast” can do on a smaller pad.
As a quick recap, the 2013 BMW M5 is powered by a high-revving 4.4-liter turbocharged unit that uses the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine outputs 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque from only 1500rpm. It comes in both manual and 7-speed DCT transmission. The base price of the F10 M5 is $90,695.
