The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is an M5 with much sexier lines, as you can see from our photo gallery shot live today from the show floor in Toronto.
To recap from our previous coverage, “M6 Gran Coupe is based mechanically upon the existing M5 sedan – and that’s not a bad thing. The same S63TU twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine will hurl the M6 GC to 60 mph in under 4 seconds (independent testing), and on to a top speed near 200 mph when delimited. 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque will be on tap, with the M V8′s characteristically flat power-band always ready to excite.
The M6 Gran Coupe will be rear wheel drive and – like it’s M5 and M6 M-siblings – love to drift. Expect it to be found at local racetracks, thrilling owners the world over, then transporting them home in exquisite style.
Canadian launch is expected in summer 2013.
Pricing $127 900 CAD.
