While driving the new 2014 BMW 328d and the 3-cylinder “baby-six” in NJ, one other vehicle caught our attention. It remains unknown if it was placed before our eyes on purpose or by accident, but those details are less important. What it’s important is the fact that we had the chance to see a BMW 335i fully loaded with M Performance Parts which turned the F30 sedan into quite a looker.
Tuned by M, the new M accessories provide a distinctive, sporty character to further enhance driving dynamics.
The option list conveniently placed on the side window are showing the following M Performance Parts that went into this build: Black Kidney Grilles ($130), M Performance Exhaust ($1,250), M Performance 20″ Forged Lightweight Tire & Wheel Set – style 405M ($4,750), M Performance Big Brake Kit ($2,700), Carbon Fiber Gear Shift Knob with Alcantara Boot ($225), Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps ($650), Carbon Fiber and Alcantara Interior Trim Kit ($950), Sport Stripes ($250), M Performance Aero Kit, Splitter, Rocker Panels, Rear Diffuser and Spoiler, M Performance Steering Wheel with Racing Display, M Performance Suspension Kit, and the recently announced $1,100 Power Kit.
The Race Mode features a stopwatch function with storage of values for up to 50 lap times (including lap, max speed, max G-forces), measurement of up to nine sector times within each lap, drag-strip simulator (LED launch countdown, reaction time, 60-foot time, 330-foot time, 1,000-foot time, 1/8th-mile time, ¼-mile time, and trap speeds).
For the BMW 3 Series, BMW M Performance now also offers a Stainless Steel Driver’s Footrest and a set of Stainless Steel Pedal Covers for manual and automatic transmission cars. Additionally, a set of BMW M Performance Floor Mats is available.
