AC Schnitzer introduces a new tuning program for the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The Aachen-based tuner has yet to reveal the full details behind this project, but we have learned so far is that the power increase of the already potent M6 Gran Coupe is quite significant: 665 HP / 652 LB-FT.
In standard form, the M6 GC packs the S63Tü high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that produces 412 kW/560 hp and 680 Newton metres (502 lb-ft) on tap between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm, while maximum output is developed between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm. The engine revs to a maximum of 7,200 rpm. 0-60mph is achieved in 4.1 seconds with a top speed limited to 155mph. The engine is matted to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic.
Dual Clutch Transmission is standard while the U.S. customers also get the optional no-cost manual.
BMW offers M Carbon Ceramic Brakes for $9,250 which will be needed to control the full 665 horsepower of this tune.
In the United States, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe has a base price of $113,000.
