Humster3D creates a 3D model of the upcoming 2014 BMW 2 Series Coupe. The company says that the 3D model was created by “using official references and descriptions with real units” and can be offered in multiple formats.
The model portrayed here is the BMW M235i which shows sporty and aggressive design lines, and more visually pleasant headlights and kidney grille when compared to the 1 Series hatchback. The front bumper is dominated by large air intakes with fins, a trend started by the new M6 models.
One thing clearly missing from the BMW M235i 3D model is the Air Breathers as seen on the latest models.
The 2 Series vehicles will be driven by a rear-wheel drive architecture with the possibility of the coupe to be paired with the xDrive system.
The engine range will reflect in large part the same powerplant units as the 1 Series, so expect to see 220d, 218i or 225i models. At the top of the line-up, the M Performance Automobiles sub-division will take over with two high-performance 2 Series models: M235i and M235i xDrive.
The M235i will most likely use the same engine as the M135i, a 3.0 liter TwinPower turbocharged six-cylinder producing 320 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft) at 1,300 rpm. Redline is set at 7000 rpm.
Product of the BMW 2 Series kicks off in November and the U.S. market will get the M235i and 228i models.
