BMW M Product Managers are introducing the new BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, the latest additions to the BMW M model line-up. These new models represent the fifth-generation of one of the most iconic vehicles in the history of BMW.
Both cars can be configured with the same exterior color pallet. The interior upholstery and trim options are also identical. The M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe can be ordered in Alpine White, Sakhir Orange, Black Sapphire, Silverstone, Mineral White, Mineral Grey, Austin Yellow and Yas Marina.
U.S. pricing will be announced in early 2014, but in the UK the prices for the M3 sedan start at £56,175, while the M4 Coupe starts at £56,653.
Under the hood, the two Ms feature the return of the inline-6 engine format made famous by BMW M. The all-new, 3.0-liter BMW M3 and M4 engine is approximately 10 kilograms lighter than its V-8 predecessor and packs an even stronger punch. With 425 horsepower from 5,500 – 7,300 rpm, 406 lb-ft of torque from 1,850 – 5,500 rpm, and capable of 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds when equipped with the M-DCT transmission (4.1 seconds with standard 6-speed manual).
