BMWBLOG in collaboration with California-based tuner Vorsteiner give the BMW 1M a makeover. The “baby-M” gets a new aero kit to enhance its already aggressive design.
The aero components built from Vorsteiner-made Autoclave Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber add style and functionality to the 1 Series M Coupe. The blend of form and functionality is perfectly balanced and improves the car’s aerodynamics.
The Front Add-On Spoiler with Integrated Brake Duct is made of carbon-fiber and lowers the ride height.
The rear diffuser also gets a more aggressive design with signature splitter and extended aero fins. The features of rear diffuser starts at the top where an integrated a dual splitter balances the proportions of the rear bumper. In addition, the Vorsteiner designers have integrated five aerodynamic fins that has been extended further down for improved performance and downforce.

BMW 1M hit the market in 2011, and its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine delivered 340 horsepower.
At a starting price of $46,000 brand new, the 1M ran in limited numbers before it was off the market for good in 2012, with just over 6,300 units sold worldwide. There were 740 units sold in the United States with some of those units being reported totaled after unfortunate accidents.
