BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe comes to market to compete with the equally stunning Audi A5 Sportback. A5 sales have been too strong for BMW to ignore, even if it means risking to angry some of the hardcore BMW fans who are seeing more and more BMW niche models.
The four-door coupe 4 Series will sit above the two-door coupe model and below the M4 Coupe.
It combines the sleek look and sporty character of the 4 Series Coupe with the functionality provided by four-doors and a spacious, flexible luggage compartment.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe vs. BMW 3 Series Sedan
The main difference between the BMW 3 Series Sedan and the 4 Series Gran Coupe is that the latter has a prettier, more coupe-like silhouette, and a more dynamic look. It has the same length, width, and wheelbase as the 4 Series Coupe, and it’s 0.5-inch taller to provide extra headroom for the rear passengers.
BMW will offer the 4 Series Gran Coupe with three lines, Luxury, Sport, and M Sport. The Luxury line brings chrome grille slates, window trim, and air breather trim; multi-spoke 18- or 19-inch wheels; a high-gloss exhaust tip and rear bumper trim piece; and interior leather color choices that include saddle brown and the exclusive Ivory White.

The Sport line brings gloss-black exterior trim components, split-spoke wheels, and red interior accents.
Last but not least, the M Sport Package adds new aerodynamic aids, M-specific wheels, an M Sport suspension, and optional M Sport brakes with larger, blue-painted calipers.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe goes on sale this spring right after its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
