Laguna Seca Blue, one of the most exciting exterior colors on a BMW, comes back to focus with an E92 M3. Besides the rather interesting finish, the whole assembly of tuning parts will make happy any car aficionados. The project was completed by European Auto Source and they once again provided an excellent showcase of tasteful modifications.
For starters the E92 M3 received an ESS VT2-625 intercooled supercharger system and the Macht Schnell race x-pipe, which rocketed this M3’s 4.0 L S65 engine power output from 347whp/259qtq to a beastly 535whp/359wtq – enough to satisfy even the hardcore pundits. This is slowly crawling into supercar territory, where we’d expect more fun and driving performance to be experienced with the newly attained power figures.
While the power kept getting better and better, stopping power became an issue. Even though BMW’s own brakes are good enough, something bigger braking pads are needed. EAS opted for a gorgeous StopTech big brake kit providing an excellent improvement in braking distance and less brake system fading and fatigue as well. The brake system installed features 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The system performs and looks good at the same time.
A set of aftermarket wheels was needed – due to the newly installed brake system – so the tuning shop opted for the 18″ Volk Racing TE37SL wheels.
Visual mods were also applied. These include a proper selection of carbon fiber aero mods, starting with Mode Carbon GT4 carbon fiber front lip spoiler, Vorsteiner carbon fiber trunk lid and a carbon fiber rear diffuser, not only give this E92 an aggressive look, but also to help a bit with aerodynamics. To provide additional safety for those track day events, a complete bolt-on roll-cage was installed as well. Additional details in the interior include a set of Pedal Haus aluminum pedals.
