Considered by many one of the best performance vehicle BMW has made lately, the 2 Series Coupe is the perfect testing bed for aftermarket tuning. It delivers a great combination of power, performance, agility and design, all wrapped up in a package that even the most rigid BMW owners will appreciate.
It’s a highly successful vehicle selling well all around the world and also one of the most modded BMWs on the market. Until the BMW M2 arrives in 2016, the 2 Series Coupe with tuning parts is the next best thing.
The base car for this project is the four-cylinder BMW 228i Coupe. Slated slightly below the currently most powerful model, the BMW M2355i, this particular model allows for some aggressive driving while keeping the fuel tank in check.
The 228i Coupe was first fitted with a set of VMR Wheels and then lowered to properly fill the wheel arches. Thanks to the VMR 703 wheels, sized 18×8.5 and 18×9.5 front and rear respectively, finished in a Gunmetal Finish, this BMW 2 Series looks ready and willing to take on the road.
Other upgrades include carbon fiber mirror caps and blacked out kidney grille with M stripes, and a vinyl wrap covering the hood.
No power upgrades were given to the car, so in standard form, the BMW 228i sprints from 0-60mph (0-100km/h) in 5.4 seconds.
