Our iOS app was long overdue and today, we are proud to announce that BMWBLOG 2.0 is available in the App Store.
The app is compatible with all iPhone models and formatted for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The app was designed to keep the same look and feel across all properties, from the desktop version to the HTML 5 mobile and now the iOS app.
With the new update, usability was at the top of our list so we aimed for minimalism and easy of use, starting with an easily accessible menu to display all the article categories and continuing with the bottom bar inside the article which is quicker to access on a large device, like the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Push notifications were also at the top of our list, a feature many of you have requested. Now it’s easier than ever to stay updated when we publish breaking news, car launches or the highly sought spy photos.
But our work is not done. In the next few weeks weeks, we will bring several updates with the following features:
1. A beautiful photo gallery inside articles
2. Ability to comment on articles from within the app
3. Search capability to discover previously published articles
4. Tuning under the hood to improve speed and response time
5. New UI/UX updates to make the app look even sleeker
