While currently BMW is making it hard for future M3 owners to choose the exterior finish of their car, seeing this Yas Marina Blue BMW M3 might be able to ease that decision a bit. This F80 M3 Sedan showed up at European Auto Source in California for more power and better looks, and here’s what they did with it.
With projects like these, we are getting a variety of aftermarket parts installed. Since most tuning fans hope for a clean build, this project will satisfy even the most pretentious owners.
This customer was mainly looking for an improved sound and better performance from the twin-turbo engine installed in the M3. The project kicked off with the addition of a new exhaust system.
The Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Catless Downpipes feature 100% stainless steel TIG welded construction and precision CNC machined flanges for optimum fitment and exhaust flow. With the downpipes installed, the turbos are able to spool up faster while producing more power as well. The noise levels are also increased while power has been added as well.
After the exhaust system was updated, it was time for the cosmetic parts to be applied. These include the BMW Performance gloss kidney grilles with custom gold chrome plated badge, then custom gold chrome plated side markers and trunk badge, and a set of iND painted front reflectors installed.
Completing the gold scheme of the build are the Macht Schnell competition wheel spacers (12mm Rear) and H&R Sport Lowering Springs that make the car sit nicely, allowing the gold accentuated wheels to stand out even more.
