Celebrating 10 years, the Vorsteiner limited edition GTRS4 is a full wide body conversion for the BMW F82 M4. The GTRS4 is a full lightweight carbon composite conversion. This means that it’s lightweight, strong and perfectly fits with the OEM body parts. The aftermarket widebody parts are designed, tested and developed in-house by the Vorsteiner team in California.
Revealed to the public at the SEMA Show earlier this year, the aero program raised some discussions on the interwebs with some pundits wanting the M4 to stay true to its original design.
Now, Vorsteiner reveals more details about the project. They design and engineering team worked in tandem to ensure the wider fenders and wheels were functional. Next, they strategically crafted air ducts for optimal cooling towards the front brakes, while paying attention to aerodynamic ventilation for the inbound air to exit.
The front fenders have a total span of 4 inches while the rear quarter panels sit 7 inches wider than its original form. Specially designed three-piece forged wheels in 20×10.5J and 20×13.5J respectively were created, all in order to fit the 275 and 345 width tires. This allows the BMW F82 M4 with this aero program to sit wider and more imposing that anything seen so far on the market.
The aero kit consists of a carbon fiber front bumper with an integrated front splitter element, wide front fenders with ventilation (2 inches wider each side), followed by aero side blade elements, wide rear fenders (3.5 inches wider each side) and a carbon fiber rear bumper with an integrated rear diffuser element. Additionally you can order the Vorsteiner 90mm quad exhaust tip finishers in either Brushed or Diamond Black, a set of Vorsteiner embroidered colored floor and trunk mat set. A Vorsteiner chrome trunk badging completes the full details on the exterior.
Vorsteiner has released a set of images to accompany their release. We have added high-quality wallpapers below.
