The goal for this tuning project was to add a more aggressive exhaust note, while also increasing the performance of the BMW F82 M4. European Auto Source picked some high-quality aftermarket tuning solutions in order to achieve a completed build. The stock sound of the M4 has been criticized by many purists for not providing the the growl needed and expected from such a performance model.
This project’s objective is quite clear: get a better/louder exhaust note, additional performance and aftermarket aero parts. In order to maximize exhaust flow and to minimize turbo lag, the tuning company replaced the restrictive OEM downpipes with a set of Evolution Racewerks stainless steel catless downpipes. Then they simply mated the new downpipes to an Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system for additional free-flowing performance and a substantial weight savings.
When the hardware installation was done, the company resorted to some fine engine tuning. In order to achieve additional performance from the S55 engine installed in the BMW M4, they installed the popular BMS JB4 tuning module. The last step of this M4 project was cleaning up the exterior with gloss black kidney grilles, side markers and a trunk badge. They have also installed the M Performance carbon fiber spoiler, giving the vehicle additional visual enhancements.
Just a reminder, the BMW F82 M4 is powered by a 3.0 liter Twin Power turbo inline-six engine developing 425 horsepower, which in turn, allow the high-performance vehicle to achieve a 0-62mph (0-100km/h) acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.
