German tuning specialist KW Clubsport reveals their coilover kit for the new BMW M4 models.

Many people assume in order to hit the track you need to kit your car out with an array of modifications, but the truth is there’s very little needed to be competitive on track – especially with a BMW M car. And sometimes all you need is a simple upgrade to the suspension.

European Auto Source have put together a KW Clubsport coilover kit on their BMW M4 and set to battle at the European Car Magazine Tuner GP @ Streets of Willow Raceway. The KW Clubsport 2-way coilovers dramatically improves the BMW M4’s track handling while remaining road legal for driving to and from the track. KW Clubsport coilovers have been developed on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and allow separate adjustment of the rebound and compression similar to our Competition racing dampers.

The KW Clubsport upgrade gives the BMW M4 the ability to finely adjust and maximize performance from the M4 chassis. Improved handling, reduced body roll and precise steering all while driving flat-out, makes the M4 a great track car.

With the rebound adjustment on the upper end of the piston rod the Clubsport 2-way can be adjusted with 16 clicks. At the front axle the rebound will be changed by the little attachable adjustment knob. At the rear axle damper, KW integrated the rebound adjustment knob in the upper end of the piston rod. Compression damping can be adjusted independently via the purple adjustment wheel in the black reservoir housing with 12 steps.

Furthermore, KW Clubsport top mounts improve the grip of sport and semi-slick tires thanks to adjustable camber providing an optimal seating while driving through corners.

On both axles you can lower your BMW M4 between the approved lowering range of 15mm – 40mm.

European Auto Source also installed a Brembo GT big brake kit and 18in Apex EC-7 wheels with Continental Extreme DW tires. Furthermore, the M4 is wearing the BMW M Performance Carbon Package and improved engine software to deliver 559 hp. An Akrapovic Evolution Titanium exhaust system (from the turbo-back) seriously improves the M4’s soundtrack.
