Taking front stage at the 2015 New York Auto Show is the new BMW Z4 GTLM “Sebring 75″ Edition. The race car pays homage to the IMSA 3.0 CSL that won the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1975 in the hands of Brian Redman, Sam Posey and Hans Stuck.
The BMW Z4 GTLM had its first race at the 12 Hours of Sebring last month.
The Rahal-Letterman-Lanigan GTLM BMW Z4 racers feature a new livery which manages to honor the old car without taking away from its modern look.
The number 25 car is driven this year by Bill Auberlen and could be see on the track during the IMSA championship. Bill Auberlen and John Edwards will remain on-board as drivers while BMW works driver Dirk Werner, who previously raced in the American Le Mans Series returns to BMW Team RLL. Lucas Luhr, who is third on the North American endurance racing wins list with 51 career wins, joins the team for 2015.
