Starting July 2015, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo family gets two new models. The BMW 318d GT and 320d GT are powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel banger, but with different power outputs.
The 318d will put out 150 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque between 1500-3000 rpm. These numbers are enough to take the 318d GT from standstill to 100 km/h i just 9.3 seconds with a manual transmission and 9.2 seconds with the 8-speed automatic. The fuel efficiency is now rated at 4.3-4.5 liter per 100 km (automatic/manual).
The CO2 emission rating for the 318d is now 112-117 g/km (automatic-manual).
Under the hood of the 320d GT we can find the same engine but with higher output. The little four banger produces 190 horspower at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1750-2500 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h, the 320d GT needs 7.7-7.8 seconds (automatic/manual). The fuel consumption is rated at 4.3-4.6 liter per 100 km (automatic/manual).
CO2 emission is 118-125 g/km.
Both cars will be offered to European customers.
