BMW USA reveals the latest updates for the Model year 2016 vehicles.
Information for design and technical changes, as well as changes to standard equipment, lines, packages and standalone options is included in this document.
Destination & Handling Fee (All Models).
Effective June 21, 2015, the Destination & Handling fee will increase by $45 to $995. Pricing information included in this document already includes the $995 Destination & Handling (D&H) fee.
2016 BMW 2 Series Coupe
BMW 2 Series Coupe Pricing (including $995 D&H):

2016 BMW 2 Series Convertible
Updates to standard equipment:
- Anti-theft Alarm system (302) is now standard on all BMW 2 Series Convertible models.
- Sport Line content is now standard on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible. This includes:
- Sport seats (481)
- Black high-gloss interior trim with oxide silver matte accent (4GD)
- Sport Line (7AC):
– Black high-gloss in front splitter
– Chrome accent next to fog light
– Black high gloss accent in rear bumper
– Red stitching on the steering wheel
– Sport instrument cluster
- The following content from Sport Line will not be added to standard equipment:
- The content previously available within the Premium Package is not standard equipment on the M235i Convertible and the M235i xDrive Convertible, excluding Dakota Leather. This includes following:
– Comfort Access keyless entry (322)
– Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors (430)
– Auto-dimming rearview mirror (431)
– Satellite Radio with one year subscription (655)
Lines and Package Changes:
Technology Package (ZTP):
Pricing has been reduced to $1,950, a $200 decrease from model year 2015, with no change in content.
Driver Assistance Plus Package (ZDB):
- Automatic High Beams (5AC) has been added to the Driver Assistance Plus Package with no price increase.
- ZDB now requires adding ZPP and ZTP to the order, instead of requiring ZDA and ZTP as on model year 2015.
Premium Package (ZPP):
- Leather upholstery has been removed from the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible Premium Package and has a reduced price. Leather continues to be offered as a standalone option.
- Premium Package content has been added to the standard equipment on the M235i Convertible and the M235i xDrive Convertible, except for Leather upholstery, which is still offered as a standalone option.
M Sport Package (ZMP):
The former “M Sport Line” will now be available as “M Sport Package” on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible. The content remains the same, but with a reduced price due to the added standard equipment (i.e. Sport seats, Black high-gloss interior trim).
Luxury Package (ZPL):
- The all-new Luxury Package is available on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible and adds a different exterior design with added chrome elements in place of black-high gloss associated with Sport Line. Luxury Package is only available in combination with Premium Package and Leather upholstery.
- Differences on Luxury Package include:
– Removal of chrome accent line next to fog lights
– Body color front splitter
– Chrome kidney grille
– Chrome accent along rear bumper, in place of black-high gloss
– Chrome exhausts tips, in place of black
Changes to standalone options:
- 6NS – Enhanced USB & Bluetooth plus Smartphone Integration: The price of 6NS has been reduced to $350.
- 2A0 – The previously available 2A0 wheel (18″ wheel style 385) is no longer available on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible.
- 2L7 / 2L9 – Wheels 2L7 / 2L9 (18″ style 384) are now available as standalone options on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible.
- 21U / 21V – Two new wheels are available for the M235i Convertible and the M235i xDrive Convertible. They are the same style wheel (436M) but are offered as orbit grey, which is darker than the still available 2PG / 2TR ferric grey wheels.
- 4LC / 4FT – With the addition of Black high-gloss interior trim as standard equipment on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible, the price of Fineline Stream Wood trim (4LC) and Brushed Aluminum trim (4FT) have been reduced to $350.
- KCCX – Oyster Sensatec is now available in combination with Sport seats and therefore still available on the 228i Convertible and the 228i xDrive Convertible base car with Sport Line.

Sport Line is no longer available. Many of the contents from ZSL have been integrated into the standard equipment profile of all BMW 3 Series xDrive Gran Turismo models, including the following Exterior measures:
- High-gloss black finisher surrounding the air-intakes with aluminum-style decorative element
- High-gloss black kidney grille
- High-gloss black B-pillar
- High-gloss black element on rear bumper
- Tailpipe trim in black chrome
…and the following Interior measures:
- Sport seats
- Anthracite headliner
- Instrument cluster with specific dial printing and chrono-scaling
- Sport leather steering wheel with red stitching (N/A with Saddle Brown or Venetian Beige)
- Key Fob with clasp in red

Premium Package (ZPP):

- The price of the package has been reduced from $2,200 to $950.

- 5DP – Parking Assistant Feature: While the 1st generation could only park parallel to the road between two vehicles, the 2nd generation is able to park perpendicular to the road (in a parking bay).
- LCD3 – Saddle Brown Dakota Leather upholstery (LCD3) is now available for the BMW 3 Series xDrive Gran Tourismo models. Luxury Package is not required for a Saddle Brown interior.

- LCD3 – Saddle Brown Dakota Leather upholstery (LCD3) is now available for all BMW 4 Series Coupe models. Luxury Package is not required for a Saddle Brown interior.

Executive Package (ZEC):
No longer includes 316 Power tailgate, 655 Satellite Radio with 1 year subscription and Harman Kardon surround sound system on 550i Sedan models (now standard). Pricing is now $2,950.

- New 1″ Wheel Upgrade Options:
– 535i Sedan and 535d Sedan: 19″ Alloy Wheel Turbine with AS Tires (2AY) is available for $600.
– 550i Sedan: 19″ Alloy Wheel Double Spoke Bi-color with AS Tires (24H) is available for $600.
- 316 – Power tailgate is now available as a standalone option on 528i Sedan, 535i Sedan, 535d Sedan, and ActiveHybrid 5 models for $500.

- 6NS – Smartphone Integration now includes only the Base plate in center console for snap-in Adapter integration & Connection to external antenna for improved reception (Requires optional snap-in Adapter – sold separately).
Paint and Upholstery Changes
New Paint:
X10 Tanzanite Blue Metallic is available on 535i Sedan, 535d Sedan, 550i Sedan, and ActiveHybrid 5 models.
Deleted Paint:
X13 Pyrite Brown Metallic is no longer available on 535i Sedan, 535d Sedan, 550i Sedan, and ActiveHybrid 5 models.
New Upholstery:
To improve interior quality and durability, Venetian Beige upholsteries now come with black carpeting, door panels, and other interior panels.
- K8V1 Venetian Beige/Black SensaTec replaces K8DF on 528i Sedan models.
- LCV1 Venetian Beige/Black Dakota Leather replaces LCDF on all BMW 5 Series Sedan models.
- LCV2 Venetian Beige/Black Dakota Leather w/exclusive stitching replaces LCLY on all BMW 5 Series Sedan models.

Paint Option Changes:
- Crimson Red paint (A61) has been discontinued.
- Melbourne Red Metallic paint (A75) no longer requires ordering M Sport Package (ZMP).
– Melbourne Red Metallic cannot be ordered with Coral Red Kansas Leather nor Walnut Kansas Leather.
- Valencia Orange Metallic paint (B44) no longer requires ordering Hyper Orange Package (ZOP).

2016 BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle
The model year 2015 BMW X5 xDrive35d model has been extended through November 2015 production. All other model year 2015 BMW X5 models end production in July 2015.
The first ever plug-in hybrid Sports Activity Vehicle, the MY2016 X5 xDrive40e, starts production in August 2015 and will arrive in showrooms in the fall.
