Specifically chosen by BMW for their BMW M4 launch campaign, the Austin Yellow exterior finish is a striking color which will ensure your M4 will stand out on the road. Combined with Yas Marina Blue, the two M-brothers have the most interesting combination we’ve seen in a while from BMW.
Today, we have a new BMW M4 Austin Yellow project, courtesy of European Auto Source. Unlike some previous builds, this BMW M4 saw an increase in the performance department. Thanks to a ESS T-500 performance flash tune combined with a set of Evolution Racewerks catless downpipes, an Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber tips and BMC performance air filters, the M4 now achieves a better throttle response, more power and better performance overall.
European Auto Source has yet to take this M4 to the dyno, so the actual increases in horsepower and/or torque are not clear. Usually, with an ESS tune like this, you get up to 60whp and 70ft-lbs of torque gains through different engine ranges, giving the M3 and M4 a nice increase in performance.
After the performance stage was completed, it was time to further refine the exterior. The parts chosen here are the Vorsteiner carbon fiber rear diffuser, Vorsteiner carbon fiber V2 front lip, Vorsteiner Carbon fiber high kick spoiler, a set of iND painted front reflectors, iND gloss black M4 Trunk badge and an iND painted engine.
Furthermore, some parts from the BMW M Performance Parts catalog were used as well: BMW Performance side blade extensions finished in gloss black, a BMW Performance gloss black kidney grille surrounds and BMW Performance gloss black side markers. Finishing the exterior touches is the XPEL ultimate paint protection film for both the paint and the headlights.
Next in line were the wheels. A set of Vorsteiner FlowForged V-FF 102 wheels in a Mystic Black finish works like a charm with this vehicle. The wheels are sized 20×9.5 and 20×10.5 front and rear, respectively, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires sized 275/30/20 in the front and 295/30/20 in the rear.
The interior also received some visual upgrades: a Sabelt SPS racing seats with a yellow stitching applied, Macht Schnell F8X FloorMounts, a set of Awron DGA digital gauge display ensures the driver is properly informed about all engine modes and statuses, and the Pedal Haus aluminum pedal set. There is also a Macht Schnell EVC Control Module installed.
