Latest rumor going around BMW dealerships is that the upcoming BMW M2 – to be revealed tomorrow – will be priced at $51,000, which makes it about $11,000 cheaper than the M3 Sedan. In comparison, the U.S. MSRP for the predecessor 1M was $47,030, while the European Delivery pricing was set at $43,830.
Regardless of the base price, the M2 will come standard with a six-speed manual transmission and an option 7-speed DCT. Other standard features are rumor to include an M Differential, M Sports Steering Wheels, carbon fiber trim and Double Spoke 437 M, front 9J x 19, rear 10J x 19 Black.
M2 customers will have one choice when it comes to interior leather – Dakota Black with blue contrasting stitching.
Under the hood, we expect to see the a similar engine as the one found in the X4 M40i, but with some additional goodies imported from the M4’s S55 engine. Power output will be 365 horsepower, which should give the M2 a 0 to 62 mph time of 4.3-4.5 seconds.
All the details on the BMW M2 will be revealed tomorrow at 6PM EST.
