Renowned BMW specialist AC Schnitzer has released details of its latest tuning package for the new BMW X6 M – the sporty truck coupe which impresses on the track. AC Schnitzer’s decided to build upon the qualities of the X6 M and turn it into the ultimate SUV.

The modifications kick off the tuning of BMW’s 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V8. In standard form, the engine makes 567 horsepower, but AC Schnitzer managed to bring the power output – through ECU remapping – to 650 hp. Torque too has swelled, from 553 lb-ft at 2200rpm in standard trim to a full 620 lb-ft. AC Schnitzer BMW X6M is equipped with a sport exhaust system with flap control – available with two “Sports Black” tailpipes, chromed “Sports” tailpipes or two “Carbon Evo” tailpipes – to enhance the V8’s note under higher throttle loads.

To improve the aesthetics of the X6 M, AC Schnitzer installed a new front skirt, a fixed carbon fiber rear wing, carbon rear skirt insert and vented sport bonnet, plus optional chrome design elements for the bonnet vents and the AC Schnitzer rear skirt decor film. The standard wheels were also swapped out for a custom solution in BiColor or matte anthracite finish. A 30mm lowering suspension spring kit for front and rear axle give the car a more composed stance.
