BMW launches a new exclusive, limited edition model for the Japanese market. The new BMW 5 Series “MAESTRO” Limited Edition is reminiscent of the intellectual and elegant view of the world of classical music. Its Sapphire Black colors pays tribute to the orchestra conductor wearing a tuxedo, while its sophisticated look, aluminum lines and the adaptive LED headlights, resemble the different instruments in the orchestra.
The interior has adopted a special equipment from the BMW Individual program – a high level of craftsmanship such as the musical instrument craftsman. The seat is wrapped in the BMW Individual extended leather Merino while the Amaro Brown trim is inspired from Italy’s Tuscan brown soil. In addition, irregular grain and rich colors – like vintage violin featuring BMW Individual Fine Wood Sycamore Red Brown Dark interior trim – produces a fragrant indoor space.
For a sporty ride, BMW Japan fitted the special 5 Series with 19 inches M light-alloy wheels 351M style. Other standard features include a Harman / Kardon surround system, front heated seats, automatic trunk lid operation and soft-close door.
BMW gives the 5 Series its award winning 2.0 liter turbo diesel – 523d – paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 184 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,750 and 2,750 rpm.
A total of 99 units will be produces and will go on sale on November 7 for an MSRP of 7,980,000 Japanese Yen – around $66,500. Each model comes with a badge.
