Springfield, IL-based Isringhausen BMW paired with tuning powerhouse Dinan to work on a series of BMW models. First on the list was this new 2015 Z4 sDrive35i which now boasts 406 horsepower with 430 lb-ft of torque thanks to the installation of Dinan’s Stage 3 tuning kit.
In standard form, the Z4 sDrive35i is powered by a 3.0 liter turbocharged engine producing 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. To achieve the significant power increase, a Dinan High Capacity Oil Cooler was installed to maintain safe engine oil temperatures for increased performance and engine life. Next, the Z4 gets a 50 percent larger Dinan High Capacity Intercooler which increases power and reliability, provides more efficient cooling of the intake charge by doubling the capacity of the stock unit.
A K&N Air Filter was used to increase airflow under high boost conditions.
A Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit Sport Suspension Package – with its Bilstein Monotube/Inverted gas pressure technology- ensures the car sits closer to the ground – by 1 inch over stock height – providing precise response and excellent driving performance. The springs and shocks are road tested and fine-tuned to complement one another. Further chassis improvements include a Turner motorsport strut brace – made of aircraft grade aluminum – to minimize chassis flex during aggressive cornering, which keeps the tires squarely on the road and delivers the traction needed when its required the most.
This 2015 BMW Z4 sDrive35i sits on 19 inch OZ Leggera wheels with Michelin Super Sport tires – 235/35ZR19 Rear:265/30ZR1.
The 7-speed DCT gearing was unchanged, but acceleration has been even further enhanced with the installation of a Wavetrac LSD 3.08 rear axle ratio replacing the original 2.56.
The exterior looks get an upgrade as well – BMW Gloss Black kidney grills, lower grills, mirror caps roll bar covers and fender trim.
The MSRP of the car is $57,900 and after the installation of all of the accessories plus labor, Isringhausen BMW is now asking $74,900. You can find more details here.
