Starting January 1, the 2016 BMW M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible will cost an extra $300. The four-door sports sedan will start at $63,500, the M4 Coupe will have an MSRP of $65,700 while the M4 Convertible will cost $74,200. Any orders placed in advance for European Delivery – with a confirmed date – will be price protected if delivered by June 30, 2016. Any new ED orders placed after Dec 31, 2015 will reflect the new pricing.

The only model changes for the 2016 models pertain to the M3 Sedan which received a mild facelift late last year. The 2016 BMW M3 gains newly designed full-LED rear lights and chrome highlights for the interior. BMW has been using LED lighting in tail lamps for some time. One immediate benefit of LED’s is they are instant on – unlike an incandescent bulb which has to warm up (producing resistance which creates light – and heat, think of incandescent bulbs as a mini-toaster, like an ‘Easy-Bake’ oven). The beauty of the LED lamps is that they provide a decided packaging benefit, they are exceptionally thin.

It also comes with door accents according to trim accent (similar to 3 Series GT and 4-Series Models).

Two new BMW Individual exterior color shades (Smoked Topaz metallic and Champagne Quartz metallic) can be specified for the new BMW M3 in addition to the exclusive Tanzanite Blue metallic and Azurite Schwarz metallic BMW Individual paint finishes.  These replace Moonstone and Pyrite Brown in the Individual color lineup. Sakhir Orange has also returned as a $550 option.

Standard equipment and pricing have changed versus MY15, as the following optional equipment is now standard for MY16:

  • Comfort Access Keyless Entry (322)
  • Satellite Radio with 1-year subscription (655)
  • Harman/Kardon Surround Sound System (688)

The M4 Coupe and Convertible are also expected to receive a facelift in the second half of 2016.
