MINI’s culture and drivers are just as quirky as its cars. Even MINI employees dress like it’s casual Friday every day of the week and some of the younger crowd swears by its sneakers and slim fit jeans. We’ve seen plenty of cool MINI apparel before and while every piece of the clothing collection makes for a perfect gift, there is always an extra step that one can and should take to please the loved ones who drive a MINI car.
Meet the Concepts x Nike Free Trainer 1.0 – a collaboration between Boston-based Concepts and Nike.
The Concepts x Nike Free Trainer 1.0 is inspired by sport science, thermal cameras, and thermal reactive materials as you can see by looking at the colorful upper. The tongue features a thermal reactive material that will change to the thermal camera pattern when heated up.
The design of the sneaker makes for the perfect shoe – whether going for a quick drive or simply stopping for lunch. And it fits with the whole MINI hipster and quirky angle.
The Concepts x Nike Free Trainer 1.0 Thermal arrives Saturday and will retail for $160. The shoe will be available at the retailer’s Cambridge, Mass., and New York City locations starting at 10 a.m., and via its website starting at 12 p.m.
