Renowned tuning shop G-Power launches a new project based on the BMW M235i. The sporty and compact coupe is the top model in the 2 Series family – until the M2 Coupe arrives in April. In standard form, the N55 3.0 liter Turborcharged engine produces 320 horsepower and 450Nm (332 lb-ft), but after some G-Power tuning magic it now delivers 375 horsepower and 530Nm (391 lb-ft), slightly higher than the M2 – 365hp and 465Nm (343 lb-ft).

The power upgrade was achieved thanks to a plug and play BI-TRONIK 2 V1 performance software.

G-Power says that with this ECU upgrade, priced at €2,320.50 ($2,508) or €2.428,89 ($2,625) with installation, the M235i matches the manual M2’s 0-100km/h (62mph) time of 4.5 seconds. The stock M235i with a six-speed manual model sprints to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds while the and eight-speed automatic in 4.8 sec.

If you spend another €794,92 ($860) or €903,31 ($976) with installation, you can increase the top speed from 250km/h (155mph) to 300km/h (186mph).

The BMW M235i remains still one of the best BMWs to buy and with M2 just around the corner, we expect some good deals to be had on the M235i.
