BMW Abu Dhabi is back once again. Almost every week, the Middle East-based dealership unveils a special project which takes production series BMWs to a new level. Their latest Guinea pig is the BMW i8 hybrid sportscar which with the help of the renowned tuning shop AC Schnitzer gets a new and sporty look.
The plug-in hybrid is shown with 21-inch AC Schnitzer rims and also bearing aerodynamic components from Aachen, which are carried out in clear-coated carbon. In addition to the wheels and the aero flaps on the front apron, the one aerodynamic element that catches the eye is the large racing wing in the rear.
Furthermore, the i8 gets carbon fiber side skirts that not only match the Crystal White color, but they also provide additional aerodynamic improvements.
While the exterior gets significant upgrades, the powertrain remains unchanged. The 362 hp combined output takes the i8 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds while offering drivers a choice between a rear-wheel drive setup, front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
