When Milla Jovovich takes up to the final battle against evil in the “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”, she will rely on the support of BMW Motorrad. The first official trailer for the sixth part of the world’s popular horror action shows an motorcycle unmistakably designed by BMW which plays an important role and allows the main hero to reach the depopulated streets of a destroyed world.
Jovovich rides the powerful BMW S 1000 XR using a straight-four-cylinder engine which is basically derived from the S 1000 R roadster. It has an output of 118 kW (160 hp) at 11,000 rpm and generates maximum torque of 112 Nm (83 lb-ft) at 9,250 rpm. This power unit produces torque in abundance, making it ideal for providing the punchy response at low and medium revs that riders seek when powering along country roads or carrying a passenger.
For BMW Motorrad and BMW Group, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is another big movie franchise which is prominently displaying the company’s products. With more or less conspicuous product placements, BMW has supported – in recent years – many blockbuster hits, including the production of the “Mission Impossible” series.
Picking up immediately after the events in “Resident Evil: Retribution”, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” arrives in theaters in January 2017.
