For many, the BMW i8 is the perfect daily driver and weekend car. It ticks all the right boxes – it’s a hybrid, it’s fast and provides exceptional fuel economy. And the i8 is also one heck of a good looking car, in every way.

The BMW i8 has a starting MSRP $140,700 and it brings a whole lot of performance and driving dynamics. The i8 is powered by a combination of a petrol engine and electric motors, powering all four wheels. Consequently the BMW i8’s hybrid system consists  of a turbocharged three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and BMW eDrive technology in the form of an electric drive system. The 1.5-liter combustion engine develops 170 kW/231 hp and drives the rear wheels of the BMW i8, while the 96 kW/131 hp electric drive sends its power to the front wheels and allows an all-electric range of up to 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).
As far as performance, the i8 doesn’t disappoint. The car will do the 0-62mph (0-100km/h) run in less than 4.2 seconds. Overall, the BMW i8 has a designed range of up to 330mil (around 530 kilometers).
