The new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M are definitely not to be messed with. Even in standard guise, the two are capable of doing things no SUV should do. With 575 HP and 750 Nm of torque at their disposal, weight doesn’t seem to be an issue. But what if they had even more power at their disposal?
Well, for those situations, you’d need a proper place to test things out. How about the Moscow Mile? In case you didn’t know, that’s a place in the capitol city of Russia where rich people get to test their hardcore tuned cars that usually reach incredible levels of power.
In the video below, for example, you’ll get to see a BMW X5 M tuned to make no less than 750 HP. By now, that figure shouldn’t be surprising as most tuners manage to get that crazy amount of power out of the revised BMW S63 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. The torque levels usually reach close to 1,000 Nm or 737 lb-ft. Chip in the all-wheel drive and fast-shifting ZF 8-speed gearbox and you’ve got yourself a land missile.
The BMW X5 M goes up against other ferocious beasts here, as well. The first one to bite the dust is a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG that was also tuned to make 750 HP by Renntech. Unfortunately for the owner of the AMG sedan it wasn’t enough to outrun the monstrous Sports Activity Vehicle.
Then comes the turn of another Mercedes rival, this time a smaller one but with the more power after the guys from Morendi-Weistec were done with it. With 770 HP and a lot less weight to carry around, the C63 AMG seems like a clear favorite, right? Well, think again. Let’s see what happens in the video below.
