Carbonfiber Dynamics, located in Dortmund, Germany, is well known for distributing several carbon fiber brands from all over the world. Their newest project car is a BMW F82 M4, which was completely rebuilt. The also called “M4R” serves as a display window because it is stocked with lots of carbon parts from different manufacturers.
The assembled carbon fiber kit is an exquisite extract from the comprehensive range of the carbon fiber specialists from Dortmund. A 3DDesign front bumper completely made of carbon fits perfectly into the overall concept trough the partial painting.
The carbon bonnet of MTC Design is based on the GTS-style and is also partially painted to create a nice transition. The side skirts are manufactured by Varis – who are just like 3DDesign located in Japan. There is also a Varis System 1 diffuser as well as a 3DDesign rear wing installed, which in combination ensure the necessary downforce at the rear axle.
The 56°NORD carbon roof box has been tested at speeds of up to 300 km/h, and has a capacity of 405 liters and a unique 300-degree unobstructed access. The whole optics are rounded off by a GT4-style wrapping from Revowrap, which illustrates the racing ambitions.
These racing ambitions are underlined by the measured data of 700 hp / 860 nm and a time of 5.9 seconds for the sprint from 100 to 200 km/h (driven without roof box). Responsible for this data is especially the JB4 Tune from Burger Motorsport, which enables various power levels at the push of a button.
In addition, BMS Alu Chargepipes and a Methanol Injection were installed. The revised TTE 6XX turbochargers, in conjunction with an Akrapovic downpipe and a boost of 2.3 bar, are the main arguments for reaching the 700 hp mark. An Eventuri Carbon / Kevlar Intake provides the required fresh air.
A 14-disc clutch from Dodson Motorsport replaces the original component, which, given the torque measured, would not even have survived the test run. The Mov’it brake (front axle: 6-piston saddles, 392 mm friction rings, rear axle: 4-piston saddles, 380 mm friction rings) guarantees adequate deceleration, while the Bilstein B16 EDC suspension keeps the M4R on course. The combination of 19’’ 6sixty forged wheels as well as Proxes R888R Semislicks (265/30/R19; 305/30/R19) from Toyo Tires ensures the needed traction.
Additional details on this BMW F82 M4R, which will be shown at Essen Motor Show 2016 (hall 2, booth E116), as well as information on a wide range of rebuilding possibilities with various carbon components directly at www.cf-dynamics.de.
