Tuning powerhouse AC Schnitzer joins once again the Geneva Motor Show to display its latest and greatest products. As always, BMW is well represented at the AC Schnitzer stand.
This year, celebrating its 30th anniversary, AC Schnitzer will give its fans a special edition automobile based on the BMW M240i. Dubbed ACL2S, the project kicks off with a power upgrade – the standard 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine was upgraded to deliver 440 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque.
The bump in power was achieved with an ECU reflash, a new exhaust, downpipe, and different intake. Additionally, AC Schnitzer included its fully adjustable RS suspension kit, lowering the car as well as giving the customer the option to adjust height, compression, and rebound.
The aero kit is also unique – it’s wide and features a series of carbon fiber upgrades, from a front spoiler and splitter, to carbon fiber side mirrors, side skirts, rear roof spoiler and a carbon fiber wing. The rear diffuser rounds up the carbon fiber additions.
BMW’s most advanced sports car – the i8 – has been further optimized by AC Schnitzer, featuring new carbon aerodynamic components and special livery.
The i8 by AC Schnitzer, with 25 mm lowering at the front and 20 mm at the rear, is significantly closer to the road than the standard vehicle, ensuring greater stability in all cornering situations. AC Schnitzer carbon front spoiler elements, carbon side skirts and carbon racing rear wing ensure that driving pleasure can be fully enjoyed on acceleration from both the powerful petrol engine and the hybrid electric motor.
In addition, a carbon middle front spoiler, the carbon bonnet top including middle strut, and the carbon front side wings further emphasize the sporting attributes of the BMW i8.
