We will continue our Geneva Motor Show coverage with new live photos of the BMW 5 Series Touring G31, painted in Mediterranean Blue and featuring the M Sport Package.
Combined with 20-inch bicolour wheels in Style 636, the new Touring is at the center of the large BMW stage and is likely to be the first G31 5 Series many trade fair visitors will lay eyes on.
The BMW Individual Exterior Line, aluminum satined, adds a touch of elegance and makes the 2017 BMW 5 Series Touring also elegant with M Sport package. This is of course due to the successful proportions of the 4,94 meter long estate, just three meters of wheelbase and relatively short overhangs.
Compared to its predecessor, the BMW G30 530d xDrive has become lighter by 95 kilograms, thus demonstrating the strength of the lightweight range of the new 5 Series. The 530d’s 2,993cc TwinPower Turbo diesel develops a healthy 265hp at 4,000rpm, along with a thumping 620Nm of torque between 2,000 and 2,500rpm. With the xDrive system always optimizing available grip, this smooth oil burner shoves you hard in the back on its way to 100km/h in 5.4 sec, yet overall consumption is a frugal 47 mpg, with C02 emissions of just 132g/km.
The M Sport package includes sports heated seats and a specific cover made, an M Sports leather steering wheel, aluminum trim and some specific details such as the illuminated M entry rails. The exterior changes include an M Aerodynamic package – front apron with larger air intakes, side skirt trim, a diffusor-style rear apron and an exhaust system with two rectangular tailpipes and lowered M Sport suspension.
