BMW 8 Series prototypes are out in full force before their official launch next year. These latest spy photos come from Germany depicting an 8 Series Coupe wrapped in the typical psychedelic camouflage known to everyone.
Just like the other spy photos, these new ones show a very low, sleek and aggressive looking luxury coupe with a very attractive side profile and the stance of a sports car. Just in the 8 Series body shape, it has all of the right elements for a proper grand tourer — long hood, short rear deck and muscular rear haunches.
We know that BMW has filed trademarks for the 850i, 860i and even M850i, so these will likely come with big, powerful engines. But we can also assume a wide range of particularly powerful drives, since the 840i and 840d basic models are powered by straight-six-cylinder engines. In addition, the V8-powered BMW 850i offers more than 450 hp with even more performance and prestige for all who place particular emphasis on superior driving performance.
The 8 Series family of coupes and convertibles will replace the existing 6 Series Coupe and Cabriolet, and with this new elegance and style it will take on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, which is a stunning and luxurious 2+2 in its own right.
