The BMW i8 has developed into the one of the most coveted plug-in hybrid sports car in the world. Its appeal is given fresh look at 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show with the presentation of the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition. This latest special edition stands out with its exclusive Protonic Frozen Yellow paint finish, newly designed 20-inch light-alloy wheels and distinctive interior design cues.
The exclusive exterior shade has a silky shimmer, it looks more like a golden dress than a simple yellow paint job. The special-edition, that will go into production this month, will sport newly designed 20-inch BMW i light-alloy wheels in W-Spoke design with matte-painted surfaces and mixed-size tires.
Inside the car, contrast stitching in Yellow for the seat surfaces and center console underlines the sporty and extravagant looks that dominate the cockpit design of the BMW i8. Yellow contrast stitching can also be found in the side panel trim and door cards, on the floor mats and in the lower section of the instrument panel.
Earlier this year, BMW of North America announced the availability of three new BMW i8 models. Dubbed “Special Editions”, the i8 models will be sold under the Protonic Dark Silver Edition, Protonic Frozen Black Edition and Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition. All three models will be available with an MSRP of $143,400.
