The top dog in the new BMW 8 Series family will be the first ever production series M8. BMW has once put together an exciting M8 project, but the one-off never saw the light of day until a few years ago, and only as a show car. BMW has already previewed the M8 through a series of camouflaged photos, building hype for 2018 and for its return to Le Mans racing.
The rendering attached here shows a muscular M8 Coupe, with the typical M design cues and beefed up bodykit. The wheels are larger than the 8 Series Coupe, the front-end is more aggressive and the ride height is lower.
The silhouette of this render is gorgeous. It’s long, sleek and stunning and has all the right design cues. The sexy roofline, Hofmesiter kink, decklid spoiler and angry headlights all make this render look great.
BMW’s M8 model will get a more powerful version of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that’s fitted on the M5, to make sure the M8 sends a statement out to the world when it is released. Exactly how much more powerful it will be remains to be seen but the report does say it will sport more than 615 HP compared to the 600 ponies in the new M5.
