In just a little over a week, we’ll finally see the official unveiling of the new BMW Z4. Fittingly, the new Z4 will be launched at Pebble Beach, where the Z4 Concept debuted last year. Due to the fact that we’re almost at the finish line of the wait for the Z4, news and photos of it are surfacing like crazy. For instance, some possible leaked photos of the official Z4 have emerged and now a new spy video has come out of it tackling the Nurburgring.
We’ve seen the new BMW Z4 on the ‘Ring before, so this is nothing new. Though it’s always good to see and, this time at least, the driver is on it. While the previous Z4 was more of a comfortable cruiser, this new one seems to be a proper sports car. This BMW Z4 corners sharp and flat, with seemingly quick turn-in and good body control.
Through one corner, you see the driver put two wheels on the curb and you can see the Z4’s control as it goes over it with two tires and remains completely in control. It’s encouraging to see. It looks tight and composed through ever corner and seems to shoot out on corner exit pretty quickly, showing its impressive power. We might not be getting a proper BMW Z4 M but I’m not so sure that matters.
In this video, we get to see both the Z4 sDrive30i and M40i variants and both seem quick. Which is really encouraging, as it proves you don’t need to spend the big bucks on the six-cylinder M40i to have some fun.
We can’t wait to see the new drop-top Bimmer at Pebble Beach and we will be there in person to bring you live photos, social media and video. So stay tuned.
