In late 2019, BMW will introduce their third and likely best X5 M SUV to date. The new generation F95 X5 M is built upon the recently launched G05 X5 and promises to bring a lot of fun to the hot SUV market. This is going to be the most powerful SUV BMW ever made, most likely housing the same S63 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood as the current F90 M5.
However, since the upcoming BMW M8 will have in excess of 600 HP according to the latest info provided by BMW, there’s a chance that the high-performance SUVs like the X5 M and X6 M will get the same treatment.
But while the F95 X5 M is something to look forward to, BMW customers in the market for a high-performance and versatile crossover can still pick up one of the current F85 X5 M which are still performing at high levels.
Take for example this BMW X5 M in Melbourne Red from our friends at Hendrick BMW. The M SUV is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 575 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. In turn, the power produced by the engine allows the all-wheel drive BMW X5 M to accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.0 seconds.
Top speed is – electronically limited – a blazing fast 155mph (250km/h).
The 2016 X5 M listed has 42,739 Miles on the odometer and judging by these images, it looks to be in pristine shape. The ad says that it comes with Navigation, Moonroof, Heated Leather Seats, Satellite Radio, Back-Up Camera, Executive Package, Parking Assistant and many others.
The Charlotte-based dealer prices this X5 M at $65,441. Considering that most new X5 M models start above $100,000, this is a nice discount for a two year old car.
