The BMW Car Club of America BMW CCA will be celebrating its 50th anniversary during their annual Oktoberfest event on October 15-19 held this year in Greenville, SC. As always, the event takes place during a full week in October and this time will utilize numerous venues including the BMW Performance Center, BMW Plant Spartanburg, Michelin’s Proving Grounds, and the BMW CCA’s new national campus in Greer.
According to the club, there are over 1,200 members are already registered and driving from all over the country to attend the special event.
Below, is a list of some of the key events taking place during the week.
Main Street Cars & Coffee and Concours, Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 9am – 12 noon
To kick off the first full day of O’Fest activities, the BMW CCA will take over a portion of Main Street in downtown Greenville stretching from the event’s host hotel, Hyatt Regency, down towards McBee Ave for a cars & coffee and concours. The event will be very reminiscent of the old Michelin on Main event that took place each year before Petit Le Mans. Spectators are invited to attend and see an amazing array of classic, vintage, and modern BMWs along the lush, tree-lined Main Street, in one of the Southeast’s most picturesque settings.
BMW Performance Driving School Presents The Ultimate Driving And Riding Machines In Motion, Friday, October 18, 2pm – 5pm
Get ready for the ultimate celebration of BMW cars and motorcycles presented by the BMW Performance Driving School on Friday afternoon during BMW CCA Oktoberfest. The team at the Performance Center has planned an amazing, can’t miss event!
BMW CCA members and spectators will be greeted with displays of legendary BMW street, race cars, and motorcycles on the Performance Center’s grounds. The owners of these ultimate driving and riding machines will be on hand, talking about their cars and motorcycles, and driving them on the track for all to see! In addition, both the BMW Performance Driving School and the BMW Performance Center Riding Academy team will provide demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Plus, a few more special surprises are in store!
BMW CCA Headquarters Grand Opening Celebration Sponsored by Hagerty, Saturday, October 19, 10am – 2pm
The BMW CCA will officially unveil and open their new national campus on Saturday during O’Fest. The Club will host a cars & coffee style event with BMWs covering the lawns surrounding the buildings for what should be an amazing photo opportunity and a lot of fun! The new campus is located just two miles away from BMW Plant Spartanburg and the BMW Performance Center.
