For the fifth time in a row since 2015, BMW has been official partner of the new yacht regatta Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. This year’s contest started September, 28th, with the closure taking place last weekend.
The renowned regatta organized on the glamorous Cote d’Azur has been the meeting place for over 300 boats ranging from majestic J-class yachts to state-of-the-art high-tech yachts made from carbon. The BMW Group has once again been awarded in the Wally Class.
The Les Voiles is in itself a highlight of the year on the glamorous Côte d’Azur. To mark this occasion, BMW Yachtsport and BMW France invited around 200 guests to the BMW Season Closing Party, where they can look forward to a show event featuring the pianist Renzo Vitale on the theme of sound design and sound engineering associated with the BMW Vision M Next.
Dr. Nicolas Peter, board member of BMW AG Finances, and Vincent Salimon, CEO of BMW France, greeted the guests who were be able to take a close look at the latest BMW products.
The show was also chosen as the perfect stage to exhibit some of the latest BMW M dream cars. The BMW Vision M NEXT concept car has been the main star of the fleet, blending harmoniously with the high-tech yachts that competed in the event.
Furthermore, BMW also brought the exclusive M850i Coupe to the show. With its massive 530 hp V8 engine (523 hp in the US), the M Performance 8 Series is set to become a future modern classic.
Last, but not least, the BMW Closing Party of the Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez had one final guest: the BMW M135i xDrive compact sports car, also celebrating its market introduction on several markets across Europe.
