We have an abundance of SEMA builds lately and TAG Motorsports is joining the crowd with a familiar project they’ve prepared for this show. We previously talked about the Akrapovic Exhaust System, BBS Wheels and some other aftermarket goodies.
Called Black Betty, the BMW M4 Coupe shown here is truly a masterpiece and serves as a great marketing tool for the company. It is loud and obnoxious, yet attractive and interesting. TAG Motorsports has pulled all the stops in creating this tuning project. The Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System is the main attraction here with its improved sound note and extra performance.
This exhaust system is a completely new design and it will reduce overall vehicle weight while delivering extra power and a sporty sound, which has been tailored to highlight lower frequencies.
Increases in both power and torque add to the sensory experience, combined with improved agility. The look of the Slip-On system can also be further enhanced by adding carbon tailpipes and the stunning carbon fiber rear diffuser.
With this system, you get an additional +5.4kW at 4400 rpm and +17.4Nm of torque at 2350 rpm combined with a weight loss of -3.0kg. It does come with a hefty price tag though! It is priced over $6,700!
Next on the car was a wheel setup. Using only the best aftermarket parts, TAG Motorsports installed a set of BBS FI wheels. While extremely lightweight, featuring a very good design and fitting well the M4, the price tag of $2,000 per wheel might throw off some owners. With tons of custom solutions and different designs, BBS Wheels are simply the best in the business.
These particular wheels are 20×9.5 in a Titanium finish with BBS Performance Red Centers to match the rest of the car.
Next step was to upgrade the handling of this vehicle. They shifted the focus back to suspension once KW Height Adjustable Springs became available.
Additional small touches include a Carbon M Performance Mirror Caps, Rear Spoiler, Front Lip, and E-Brake. The matte carbon against the metallic black paint is an incredible contrast. TAG Motorsports wrapped the carbon roof wrapped in matte clear to match the rest of the car, just another example of finishing touches that create a perfectly balanced project.
