One of BMW Group’s star designers and the MINI Chief of Design – Anders Warming – is allegedly leaving the company, according to GT-Spirit.
Warming started with BMW at its DesignworksUSA design studio in Newbury Park, CA and also had a short tenure at Volkswagen from 2003 to 2005. Graduate of the prestigious Art Center College of Design school, Warming designed the first generation E85 Z4 Roadster. In his prosperous career, Warming also designed the GINA Light Concept, Mille Miglia 2006 Coupe Concept and was involved in the X1 Concept design.
He took over from Gert Hildebrand in 2011 leading the design of the F54 Clubman and F60 Countryman. Warming also oversaw the Supperleggera concept unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este in 2014. His latest masterpiece is the Vision Next 100, showcasing a futuristic approach towards autonomous driving and cutting-edge technology.
