The online configurator of the new 2017 BMW 5 Series just went live on www.bmw.de. The seventh generation of the business saloon has been made available into the online configurator and can be adapted to their own ideas and color wishes.
For the engines available, the current configurator is strictly limited to the engines offered at the market launch of the BMW 5 Series G30 in February 2017. The selection of the engines is limited to the 530i, 540i, 520d and 530d, as well as the respective xDrive variants.
The 530e hybrid, M550i and 520d EfficientDynamics Edition will be available in a few weeks and can not be selected in the Configurator at this time.
The Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport Package, with their respective effects on the exterior and interior design, are, however, integrated in the configurator. A wide range of colors and wheels can also be selected facilitating the find of the optimal combination. Overall, the color palette for the BMW 5 Series G30 includes eleven paint finishes, the wheel program offers a variety of designs and diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches. In the course of the year 2017, eight BMW Individual paintworks will be introduced, including two matte Frozen variants.
In the design of the interior, 5-seater customers can choose from a wide range of leather colors and interior trim to suit the needs of the limousine. The list of special equipment is extensive and will raise the final price by several tens of thousands of euros above the basic price, not uncommon for the 5 Series and its competitors in the segment.
The BMW 520d with 190 hp fro a four-cylinder diesel has an entry price of 45,200 euros. Still in the course of the summer 2017, the 184 hp strong BMW 520i will, however, slip into the entry-model role.
