On April 1st, BMW hosted an event at the BMW M facility in Garching, Germany. Among the many surprises prepared for journalists present at the event was a new M3 Concept based on the Sedan variant.
The BMW M3 Lightweight will be officially unveiled at the M Experience Festival on June 23rd, prior to the famous 24 Hour of Nurburgring race.
While attending the event, we managed to snap some quick photos of the new M3 Concept, but today we’re bringing you a live video also, courtesy of M5board.
The BMW M3 Sedan will come in limited numbers in 2011 and the idea is similar to the M3 GTS. BMW has yet to reveal any technical specs, but Dr. Kay Segler, current M boss, says lightweight plays an important role in this concept and power will be also adjusted accordingly.
We should expect to see between 420 and 450 horsepower.
